NOLAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL YEAR 2008-2009
FIFTH GRADE SUPPLY LIST

Your child will need the following items on the first day of school:

FOR INDIVIDUAL USE IN ALL CLASSES:
• Trapper Keeper with 6 dividers and a zippered pencil holder that fits in the trapper keeper for supplies. (Please do not label the dividers before receiving teacher directions.)
• Plastic pocket folders with prongs in the following colors:
• Red for math
• Yellow or Orange for English
• Green for Social Studies
• Purple for Science
• Blue for Reading
• Two wide rule 70-page spiral notebooks (one red and one yellow)
• Endless supply of notebook paper (4 – 5 packs)
• Endless supply of #2 real wood pencils and cap erasers (no mechanical pencils)
• 128mb USB flash drive (Please label this clearly with permanent marker)
• 3 X 5 white index cards (100 count or more)
• Capped pencil sharpener that will fit into the zippered pouch in the Trapper Keeper
• Blunt-tipped scissors (each student will need a pair often)
• Colored Pencils (We use these in all classes.)
• Glue Stick – no liquid glue
• Red Grading Pen, a yellow highlighter, and a green highlighter
• Ruler (metric and standard)
• Dry erase markers (4 or more colors) and an eraser (old sock works well)

FOR CLASS USE IN HOMEROOM:
• Two boxes of Tissues
• Roll of Paper towels
• Two boxes of Baby Wipes (We clean desks weekly with these.)
• Hand Sanitizer

Please check regularly to see that supplies are replenished as needed.

NO gel pens, milky pens, individual staplers, white out, toy pencil sharpeners or permanent markers should be brought to school.
