Nolan Elementary School Year 2008-2009 Fourth Grade Summer Reading List

Dear Parents,

In order to encourage summer reading, fourth grade teachers are assigning the novel How to Eat Fried Worms by Thomas Rockwell.

As a follow-up activity your child will need to make a paper or fabric book cover ready to be turned in on the first day of school, August 12, 2008! This will be counted as their first reading grade. Grades will be based on neatness and creativity.

We would also like to encourage other summer reading. Below is a list of suggested 4th grade reading provided by the Hamilton County Department of Education. You may find this helpful in providing quality literature for your child.
